The National Defense University Foundation is proud to sponsor the annual Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Secretary of Defense, and Joint Force Quarterly Kiley Essay Competitions. NDU Press hosted the most recent competitions on May 22-23, 2007, during which 20 judges from participating colleges selected the best essays in each category.
We are back from break and students are working hard to finish up writing projects before the end of the 1st nine weeks. Projects due include: Letter about SSR book, Journal-If I was the Teacher, Describe the Character worksheet, and any assignments not completed due to absences.
The Robson History Prize is an annual competition for Year 12 or Lower 6th students. The Prize was established in 2007 in memory of the historian Robert Robson, who was for many years a Fellow and Tutor at Trinity. The aims of the Robson Prize are twofold: firstly, to encourage ambitious and talented Year 12 or Lower Sixth students considering.

This Award had its origins in discussions in the Council of one of the founding partners of this Institution, CAPA, during 1972 and 1973. It was agreed by that Council, in winding up CAPA affairs, that this responsibility could be discharged in no better way than to establish an Award, to be presented by the new body at the annual Corrosion Science Symposium.

A binary logistic regression model is applied. Psychological and social-demographic elements (e.g. illicit drug use and religiosity) are all found to highly correlate with suicidal ideation. Comparison with Chinese young adults is done for a better understanding of the mechanism of suicide. Finally, possible intervention strategies.
More recent work by Gardner and Oswald (2007) explores the causality running from exogenous variations in income (from medium-sized lottery wins) to changes in mental health, as measured by the GHQ. They find that money has a positive significant effect on mental health.
Winners announced in annual writing contest 2012 June 8 by wpadmin SEVERAL STUDENTS received awards in this year’s creative writing contest sponsored by the Missouri State University-West Plains Department of English and Writing Center, and they were recognized during the annual Celebration of Leaders student awards ceremony April 19 at the West Plains Civic Center theater.

This year’s essay winners at Northside were Kelsey Evans, Zachary Poss, Cody Hattaway, Ashley Hershman, Karem Bain, Devin Summers, and Kaylee Hale. Each of those students read their essays during the DARE graduation program.
